Holmes By Products is a family-owned rendering plant in Millersburg, Ohio. We play an essential role in the protection of our environment through the recycling of material from various food processing plants, farms, restaurants, and butcher shops throughout Northeast and East-Central Ohio.

Committment to a cleaner environment

Roughly 50% of an animal raised for food production is considered inedible. The inedible portions, along with any other material deemed to be below inspection standards, get transported to rendering facilities such as Holmes By Products. Our facility receives over two million pounds of food waste per week that would otherwise end up in landfills and lead to environmental contamination.

Renderers, like ourselves, recycle and reuse this material to create high protein feed supplements, biodiesels, and a number of other useful products. We are proud to be a part of a sustainable process for reducing food waste and upcycling otherwise inedible and unusable material.
